Another celebration…! and… well… for the shot that I missed… and as I explained to a parent, if I could tell you that the first baseman would jump as high as he could to snag a hard hit shot over his head and ALSO catch the runner on first not tagging up to get a double play ALONE (!!!!)… well I love what I do but if I was that good, I’d be rich!  🙂

So, yeah, this crack off the bat goes ripping, what looked like over the first baseman’s head, he jumps up, snags it and sprints to first to record the double play… the crowd gave me a hard time for missing the shot… 🙂  Did I mention these tournaments are fun?  🙂  GREAT play #5!!!  Stop by our tent and pick up your “photo of the day” water bottle!

Lots of action, some VERY close games (as in bottom of the 6th two outs kinda close…) … and some not so close games… some very heart wrenching stories… life at the ball field at it’s finest.  I’d like to give a shout out to the Gouldsmith Family from Reno, the instaimage family is keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

If you want to pack even more into your 4th of July weekend, stop by the fields this weekend, all three age divisions will be playing, there are 13 games on Saturday and 12 on Sunday, get out there and support your team!

The tournament kicked off today!!  We’re doing something new and different with our “display” of the tournament’s photos… you’ll have to stop by and check it out.  Also, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook during the tournament for the possibility of “free” stuff!

We’ll be at the Capital City Qualifier Fastpitch Softball tournament this weekend… the Nevada District 1 Little League Tournament June 29th to July 13th… the High Country Championship Swim Meet August 5th & 6th… and the All World Fastpitch World Series August 10th to 14th.

Water bottles, Sport Beans… maybe a camera class (beginner and advanced)… free upgrades on collages… who knows what I might come up with in the heat of the day…

A bit of a change for today… Bishop Manogue faced McQueen in the first round of the High School Baseball playoffs today… here are some photos from the game.

The pitcher here… also contributed with hits AND got hit in the foot by a pitch… he certainly made HIS contributions today to their win!

The season is wrapping up… Carson has one more regular season game tomorrow on the road @ Manogue… that game will determine what place they are in the standings along with the outcome of the Spanish Springs game… which decides if they’re home or away on Tuesday, May 10th in the playoffs.  Good luck tomorrow fellas!  Bring it home!

Just a few photos… start it off with the scoreboard, still lit up, which has been unusual to see when the team is meeting in the outfield…. except for that 5th inning run… The game ended on a bases loaded walk…

Softball wraps up their regular season on Saturday at home with a double header.  The Varsity has already secured a spot in the post season… get out there and support your teams!!

I kinda took some time off tonight to enjoy the game and my family came to part of the game… I still got some shots in… more of the JV at their 3:45 game… Here’s a couple from the varsity game before the sunlight was completely gone.  Tough night for both Carson teams vs. Galena.
