Carson Pop Warner tonight…

After the Carson/Manogue game @ Manogue I was back down to Carson for two Pop Warner games… Fall is certainly upon us this week!!  The “chill” of Football Season is coming!

Carson High vs. Bishop Manogue High Varsity Football…

A day of football today!!  First off was the Varsity match up of Carson High @ Bishop Manogue High.  BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL day today!  You could argue that the wind was a bit annoying but it kept the temps down… and what a great day for the Manogue Homecoming… Unfortunately for Manogue, Carson walked away with a 27-24 win… and in thrilling fashion… with 33 seconds to go Carson kicked a 64 yard field goal to win it…  This game had it all, neither team could capitalize on the other’s mistakes to gain any kind of advantage… A lot of grinding it out on the ground, I’d say Carson won the “air” battle… just barely connecting a few times with Brock Pradere for some good gains… Here is some action from the day… see more at the individual links on the side under Current Events.  See you out at the fields soon!

Some runners first… Manogue’s big strong #5 got the lion’s share of the “pound it out” yardage today….

Carson High vs. Bishop Manogue High… Freshman and JV Football

Carson High walked away with two wins tonight at Bishop Manogue High.  Both games were close into the last quarter but Carson pulled away in each game with a few key plays that made the game for the Senators.

Carson High Boy’s Soccer vs. McQueen

Carson High scored A LOT of goals against McQueen in the last two nights… The boy’s JV and Varsity each walked away with shutout wins tonight… they were both just much stronger teams than the McQueen teams.  Here are some shot from tonight’s action.  See the rest at the Carson High Athletics link on the side.

Despite this fella’s efforts… the Carson team walked away with a shutout and a win!  This McQueen kid is fun to watch!  Super quick… but not much of an issue tonight for Carson.

Carson High Girl’s Soccer vs. McQueen…

The Carson High Girl’s Soccer teams took away a win each for the Varsity and Jr. Varsity against McQueen… both Carson teams walking away with pretty convincing wins.  Here is some action from the games… check out much more on the CHS pages, click on Carson High Athletics on the side.  See you out at the fields again soon!

A special shout out to Carly… It really helps when you have a tougher opponent… particularly when you play in the goal! 🙂

Carson Pop Warner today…

Today down at Governor’s Field the Carson Pop Warner Jr. Pee Wee and Midget teams played against North Tahoe and Reno Wolfpack respectively, both coming away with wins.  The JPW team handled the North Tahoe team easily scoring several touch downs in the first quarter… the Midget game was MUCH closer until through the entire game.  Here are some shot from the games… check out Carson Pop Warner to the right to see all my shots from the two games.

This is a common “scene” for this player! 🙂  Although I was teasing him early in the game, it took him awhile to find his “groove” but then… I think he had three or four touch downs today…

Carson High Football… @CHS vs. North Valleys

Two lopsided games tonight at Carson High… both Carson teams coming away with big wins… and shutouts… and the varsity, despite giving up a lot of yards, pulled out a shutout… Here’s some game action, more from tonight as well as last night’s Freshman game are under Current Events to the side or Leagues & Events.

Carson High Freshman Football tonight…

The Carson High Freshman Football team ran into a tough North Valleys side tonight… I was impressed with the quarterback of the North Valleys team… looks like he’s going to be someone to consider over the next few years!

Douglas vs. Carson Boy’s Soccer… @DHS

With the school year comes the rivalries!!  The Douglas Girl’s Varsity team defeated the Carson team last night at DHS… today, Carson took a win on the road… here are some shots from today’s game.

I’ve got to make a comment about this next shot… these days I might look more like a soccer ball than years past but I’ve put my years on the playing field… This, my Carson defender friends, is NOT the way you defend a header…  Luck he’s far enough out from the goal that this wasn’t much of a threat… makes for a nice photo!  Thanks!  🙂

Carson High Volleyball…

Some volleyball action tonight from Carson High… All three teams played tonight, they resume action Thursday on the Road, good luck ladies!

Laura keeps getting better and better singing the National Anthem, I just LOVE this moment at games… and the flag at Carson High in the gym is impressively huge!
