Could you call this a dream weekend for Carson High? Friday you get to hear legendary NFL player Kurt Warner talk and then you go head to head with his son and (and Dad too as he’s the offensive coordinator…) on your home field and come away with a 49-42 win in front of a good sized Carson Hometown crowd? That’s pretty special!
The Senators hosted Desert Mountain High from Scottsdale, AZ for their opening home game and there was no lack of “entertainment”… 🙂
The Senators came away with a 49-42 win over the Wolves in what can really be described as an Abel Carter show… Desert Mountain simply had nothing to stop him! Six touchdowns, two on pick-six scores that really took the wind out of the Arizona team’s sails…
What a way to start the season!! Here are some photos of the evening.
I know there’s a lot of video shared and consumed in football but you still never really know until you step on the field and are toe to toe with your opponent… last night was no different… Here’s Desert Mountain’s Quarterback Austin Neussle looking for his target early in the first quarter. (photo geek stuff… you have to love that beautiful light from the sun lighting his face, great stuff, kinda rare in varsity football with normal 7:00 PM starts…)
Legendary NFL Quarterback Kurt Warner assessing Carson’s defense before calling in a play early in the first quarter.
Brandon Gagnon picks off Desert Mountain’s pass…
Not even a flat tire (check the shoes…) can stop Abel Carter… (photo note here… see that shadow in the background? got SUPER lucky that the sun was still on Abel’s upper body here. The press box is the culprit for creating that shadow on the field and it’s a disaster for photos while that shadow creeps across the field… 7 PM game times eliminate that shadow problem 🙂 )
This photo pretty much sums up Desert Mountain’s night against Abel Carter… they’re going the other direction… Congrats Abel on a super night!
