I never know how these games are going to start… let alone end… throughout the game you try to get yourself into a position to get some interesting shots, make sure that you “catch” the highlights of the game, etc., etc… Friday Night’s game, Carson vs. North Valleys was no different. It opened with this… Brady getting into the backfield and making a tackle… maybe a sign of things to come?
North Valleys seemed to be moving the ball fairly well, their quarterback seemed to read the Carson defense fairly well and then the next thing that happened was this… Nevin picking up a fumble and running it in for a touchdown!
This gave North Valleys the ball back… and they marched down the field and scored… wait, what’s going on… they seemed to make their way down the field pretty easily, were we going to have a scoring shootout here or what?
North Valleys kicked off to Joey who said b-bye and ran 98 yards for a touchdown…
By now we’ve got about 6:20 or so to go in the first quarter… yea, 1/2 of the first quarter was gone and the Carson offense had yet to see the field and it was 14-6 Carson…!!! Things kinda settled down after this… I think the tone was set, Carson’s defense and special teams had already scored touchdowns… and very quickly after taking the field the Carson offense put up another 7 with a short touchdown run… Here’s Carson quarterback Garrett passing during their first drive of the game.
Carson didn’t look back… in the second quarter Garrett connected with Dilyn for an 86 yard TD pass… you’ll have to go in the Carson gallery and check out this entire series… how Dilyn caught that pass with that coverage… good stuff fellas!
Garrett added a short QB keeper in the third quarter….
Carson is on the road to Reed next week and back October 4th for Homecoming against Damonte Ranch.
