How many things can I pack into a day… and then…

What a day!  It started at the Carson/Douglas Varsity Baseball game at Douglas High… I shot a few innings of the game but more importantly I delivered the teams & individual photos I took the day before… here’s the varsity team photo.

When I left the game at the end of the third inning the game was tied… Douglas went on to win the game, splitting the series with Carson… Here’s a few from the game…

Shane with some fury to get the out at first and Matt for a base hit early in the game…

It doesn’t SEEM like a long way… but it can take what seems like forever to get from Douglas High to Carson High when you’re in a hurry to get to a double header!  Carson/Douglas softball was at Carson High… so off to Carson I went…  Here are some shots from those games….

When I got to the field and looked through the lens I immediately recognized this gal… she probably doesn’t know this but she’s our sample magazine cover girl at our action event tent… I immediately recognized the facial expression… I took the second shot back in 2009 at the Carson Valley Classic Softball Tourney…  This is part of what makes my job great… seeing these young kids come up through the system, each year getting better and better…

Here’s Carson getting the bats going…

Here’s probably my favorite shot of the day… High Fives for the Senator Man!

Whew… the day is done right?  Nope… home for an hour… see how my ill family is doing… (which IS contagious… and now I’m feeling under the weather but nothing a three hour nap can’t help fix…) and then up to Reno for the Aces game.

For those of you that don’t know, the Reno Aces have a great program for kids called Baseball Buddies.  Baseball or softball teams can participate… the kids get to run out onto the field with the player to their positions, stand during the National Anthem and then the player will sign one item for the youngster.  Well, my friend Jim with Carson Valley Little League asked me to be a part of his team’s participation last night… Thanks Jim!  Here are a few shots…

Unfortunately with my family all ill we decided last night was not a good night to go to the park… so this one’s for my oldest daughter… she LOVES Archie!

And I just couldn’t leave the park without getting at least one photo of the players… 😉
